Essential Grid won't preview or allow editing in Front End

Hi There,

The issue is because the category Let’s go to the movies doesn’t have an escape thus returning JS error. This JS error stop other functions from working: https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cbXur72x4B
I tried to find where is that category but to no avail, It’s not on your post, portfolio or events. Please try to edit the category, try to just rename ans remove the single quote on the word Let’s and then check again. Let us know how this goes.

I’ve deleted the category, but it didn’t seem to do anything. Its a category for pages using a plugin called “Add Categories To Pages” that allows me to add categories to pages.

Hey @chadtca50,

Please update X to the latest version even though it doesn’t fix the Essential Grid issue because it will prevent other issues later.

I checked your grids and they are corrupted. I created a new grid for testing and it works. I placed its shortcode in a test page I created. I can’t use Cornerstone in your site (another issue) so I placed it in the default WordPress editor. See Secure Note for the URL of the test page. It doesn’t display anything because you have no post but it works.

There are a lot of stuff in your site so I’m not sure what exactly caused this issue. If you could start from scratch, that would be great. Otherwise, please completely uninstall WP Super Cache and other optimization plugins you have like WP Super Simple Speed. Contact the plugin developer to learn how to completely remove them from your WordPress site because optimization plugins usually leave settings that could cause issues.

Then, deactivate all your third party plugins and we’ll continue to investigate.

If you have a tight deadline, I recommend that you hire a professional WordPress developer to build and maintain your site.

Thanks.

I will contact the plugins and deactivate everything.

Everything was working fine, and then one day it wasn’t. I clicked save on Essentials Grid and it stopped working, and then I updated X and Cornerstone stopped working. I’ve had all the same plugins for months and never had an issue.

Earlier you guys were saying it was Really Simple SSL, now you’re saying I need to trash my site and start over…

My site was fine, and then I setup HTTPS, and now it’s not working the month after. I would venture to say the issue lies within Cloudflare and Really Simple SSL.

If it just stopped working with no reason at all, that is certainly weird. But, you have other activities in your site like setting up HTTPS. If you’re not familiar with its setup, that could break your site.

I said:

If you don’t want to do that, then

We need that to see if X is causing the issue and not a third party factor is causing it.

Thank you for understanding.
