Errors and problems since the latest update to version

Since updating to the latest version of X/Cornerstone, we are experiencing a number of issues:

Firstly, Wordpress is sending the following error:

Going into the site’s admin panel, we’re unable to find this error and the site appears to be normal, except that mobile visitors get the following error “the site is experiencing technical difficulties” (This is our second and more pressing issue)

We have removed both the cornerstone plugin and theme, re-installed both, but get the same result. Since then, a new version of X and Cornerstone have been released, which will most likely fix our issues above, but unfortunately since re-installation, the theme requires validation, which brings us to our third issue:

When we enter our purchase code for validation, we get the following message: “Your code is valid but looks like it has already been used on another site. You can revoke and re-assign within your Themeco account.” This is the only site that we’re using the Theme on, and we have tried revoking the license, but we’re not sure that we’re doing it right. Please help

We have traced the error with the mobile version of our site to the plugin WP Touch, which it seems may not be compatible with the latest version of X.

However, we’re still not able to revalidate our theme license and really need help with this.

Hi @ToastToast,

Please add your site URL again here:

Go to your licenses page here to do that. Then try again to validate on your wordpress admin after. Not sure if you have done this already but when I check your license your site domain is missing from page.

Let us know how this goes.

We have already tried this several times. Just did it again, still get the following error when validating the license: “Your code is valid but looks like it has already been used on another site. You can revoke and re-assign within your Themeco account.”
This is extremely frustrating!!!

Hi @ToastToast,

Sorry that you’re having that issue, it seems you accidentally unlock your license, unlock license cannot be use because it is waiting to be transferred.

If you don’t have a plan to transfer your license, please navigate to your licenses page, click the key icon and it will turn to a padlock icon only then you can validate the site using the license.

Remember to clear all your caching features (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) after updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Also, please make sure that you have the latest version of Wordpress (v5.2.3)

Updating WordPress

Thanks,

We have tried activation before with the license both locked and unlocked and it did not work. Just tried it again, with the license locked. Still get the same error: “Your code is valid but looks like it has already been used on another site. You can revoke and re-assign within your Themeco account.” Really frustrated with this!

We have tried all your suggestions, but are still simply unable to assign this license to the site justonelap.com. It is the only site this theme should be licensed on.We have never activated it on another site. Please can you fix this asap?

Hi @ToastToast,

Sorry, that has the issue persists, would you mind providing login credentials in a secure note so we can take a closer look?

And is it ok if we do a plugin conflict test? as it very possible that there is a plugin that is interrupting the validation process.

Thanks,

I have added login details in a separate secure note as requested. You may test for conflicting plugins, but please be careful not to break the site

Just FYI, we have tried the activation with all plugins except Cornerstone and the X Theme disabled, and we still received the same error

Hi @ToastToast,

It seems you have multiple accounts (see secure note) and you registered your license on those accounts with the temporary URLs, thats why you get that “Your code is valid but looks like it has already been used on another site

Do you have access to those accounts? Please add your site URL on those accounts as well.

Thanks,

We no longer have access to those accounts. Is it not possible to just reset the license and remove it from those registrations so we can register it on this account, which is the correct account?

Hello @ToastToast,

Your X theme in Just One Lap has now been validated.

Please check your site now.
