Embedded Blog post not responsive

Hello,

I am trying to embed a blog post by pasting it’s link. It should show up as described here: https://www.ostraining.com/blog/wordpress/oembed/

However, it seems the iframe or whatever is not responsive. Sometimes, the image is too big. Sometimes, there is a big blank space at the bottom. And on mobile, it gets cut half way through. So I am guessing it’s a responsiveness issue?

Hi Gary,

Making an embed content such as an iFrame is quite tricky because its responsiveness would depend on the actual page source and not the theme of your site.

Kindly check this search results to get some ideas on how to make iframes responsive:

Hope this helps.

Hi Jade, the source of the post is my own website. Essentially, I want to use this feature to link to some related posts on my own site and it looks quite good except for the responsiveness issue. So both the source and destination are on X Theme.

Would that help things?

Hi Gary,

Would you mind providing the link to one of the posts where you have added the embedded items so that we can have a look?

Thank you.

I have added a link to a test post via secure note. I have tried this on 3 of my sites running on xtheme and they all look the same so its probably not something I did.

Hi Gary,

Sorry that you’re having that issue, that is actually a bug, we already have on our issue tracker. For now please use the Recent Posts element, or Recent Posts shortcode for linking posts.

Thanks,
