Displaying CPT in the front end

I have created a CPT called “Transformation journals”
you can see some test posts here: https://www.mindwork-s.com/journal/
To see the settings I have for the CPT See Figure 1
So now is time to create the archive page for them and the single post for the entries.
I tried to make a new template > Archive But in dynamic content all it appears are normal posts, I’ve been searching for hours but for the life of me that I cannot figure out how to show the titles and pictures of the transformation journals. all I see is the usual " Post, Term, Author, Global…" image .
So this is my first question, how to make this? Do I need to add some code to my child theme so this post types appear? are any options on the CPT UI plugin end that I need to fix so Pro recognizes the custom post types? or is there any dynamic content code I can use, such as {{dc:journal:title}}
Then I also notice that I had a very hard time assigning the template, I saw that the blog archive is not assigned and it works but I seem to miss what should I put on the assignment interface to make it show on https://www.mindwork-s.com/journal/ The assignment menu does find something related to Transformation journals :
So this are my 2 questions, basically asking how can I show custom post type data in the front end with Pro
I know that with DIVI for example, you can allow the builder to work in the different custom post types you create by going in the menu årefferences so I imagine that I am just missing some setup settings with Pro.
Thank you so much for the help, I have been going in circles for days around this and I think that I am just messing up more than I am solving.

Also, as a sidenote, ever since the update, I see this strange popup in my frontpage:

I am not sure what’s making that happen…

Hello Carlos,

Thanks for writing in!

1.) When we check your homepage, we do not see any popup. This can be coming from your cache. Please make sure to clear all your plugin caches and browser caches. I can see that you are using Cloudflare. You must log in to your Cloudflare account and purge your site cache as well.

2.) In Your Journals custom layout for the Journals archive page, you will need to disable the Looper Provider.

In an archive layout, you do not need to use Looper Provider since the archive itself will take care of the loop. All you need is the Looper Consumer. Disabling the Looper provider should resolve your issue and display all 4 journals which you currently have.

Kindly let us know how it goes.

Thank you! yes I understand now how its done!, although I runned into the next issue :frowning: which I listed here Help to get a looper provider to pull a list of authors who have posted a custom post type
haha, and thought that this would be a walk in the park… I figured how to show all journals, which was the first step but my purpose was to show all the journal entries from every author one above another. I thought that would be easy peazy to do this:

  • make a page that shows a list of authors who have published a transformation journal entry (mainly because in the looper provider > query builder appears this list) url like mindwork-s.com/journals
  • upon clicking in the author they would go to a page showing all the journal entries of this author. like mindwork-s.com/journals/author_name
well I am on the verge of giving up on this idea as I am running out of ideas.

in respect to this pop up thing, yeah, is weird as it does not show when I see the page in another browser so no idea but is not a crysis then

Hi Carlos,

What you are expecting is required custom development which is beyond the scope of theme support. I would suggest you hire a developer who can assist you to do the customization or you can avail of our newly launched service called One, where we answer the questions beyond normal theme support.

Thanks
