Cornerstone Footer Not Replacing Default Footer

Hi there,

I’ve recently set up some custom Cornerstone Footers to test out the tool, however, it does not appear to be overriding the default WordPress Footer.

I’ve confirmed that the “Footer” selection is on in General settings, have cleared cache, and have checked/experimented with different assignment conditions.

We ran into a similar problem with the Header tool not working a couple of weeks ago, and I tried the same steps from that to no avail either.

Hoping to get some guidance on what might be wrong here.

Thank you in advance!

Hi @jessebrito,

Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked your website and created a Test Footer and assigned it to the Entire Site but it didn’t work. It seems, that there might be some different reasons behind your issue. I would like to suggest troubleshooting the following common issue to help us to recognize the reason.

  1. Theme Related Issue
  2. Plugin Conflict
  3. Theme Update related issue
  4. Child Theme Related issue
  5. CSS/JS Customization
  6. Disabling Cache
  7. Disabling CDN

If you discover that an issue is coming from a custom code or 3rd party plugin, kindly consult with a developer or contact the plugin author. Please note that we do not provide support for custom codes and 3rd party plugins.
If none of the above helps, please copy your live site to a staging server so we could troubleshoot freely without breaking your live site.
And give us access in the secure note including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

Hi @tristup,

We did try the troubleshooting steps you mentioned.

I’ve included our site credentials in the prior private note. This is our staging environment, so you’re free to experiment there as needed.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hi @jessebrito,

I have checked your website thoroughly and found the Polylang plugin is activated, and that is the reason behind your problem. There is an ongoing conflict issue with the plugin and Header and Footer assignment. We have already reported the issue to our development team, but there is no solution till now. As a temporary solution you can follow the below steps, every time you update the header.

  1. Deactivate PolyLang
  2. Delete Header Assignment and modify the update
  3. Add Header assignment back and save
  4. Activate the Polylang

I maintain the above steps and now the footer is showing on your website.

Thanks
