Cornerstone errors in error log

I was trying to troubleshoot some problems with my hosting provider and they noticed the following errors in my website’s error log:

The problem with my website is updating pages sometimes gives me “Error Connection Closed.” My hosting provider says there is no problem with the server, and they think it is related to a page builder but they could not give me more specific details.

They wanted me to delete Cornerstone, but I know I can’t do that because the whole website will stop working. It is a commerce website for an event that is very soon so we do not have the time and resources to rebuild it another way.

Can you tell me what these errors mean and how to resolve them? I will add my website details in a secure note.

Hello @carlyas,

Thanks for writing in! How did you updated Cornerstone? Did you do it manually? We highly recommend that you reinstall Cornerstone and make sure that you have the latest version of the theme. Place your site in under construction mode and then go to Plugin section. Deactivate Cornerstone and delete it. Go to X > Validation and wait for a few second while the Cornerstone bundled in the theme is being re installed in the background.

That’s how I did it the first time - this is a fairly new website so I installed X and then let Cornerstone install automatically via X > Validation. Since I already tried it that way, would it be better to download it and do it manually, or just delete and try it the same way again as you suggested?

Hi @carlyas,

Sorry, we are not sure what was causing the issue, but it seems its not really Cornerstone. Please try deactivating all your plugin including Cornerstone, then navigate to Settings > Permalinks, then just save it without changing anything, this is to reindex your site URLs. Then re-enable back your plugins.

If that does not work, please try downgrading your PHP version to 7.2.x
