Cornerstone can't load because of social media link?!

Hi,

My blog posts (made with Single Layouts) and my footer has one thing in common and that is a social media link to LinkedIn. That link blocks Cornerstone from loading the single layout and the footer builder. If I remove the links - it loads fine. I’ve had this issue before - some years ago, but then it dissappeared and now it’s back.

I thought it was due to some caching but even after disabling WP Rocket and clearing my browser, it still doesn’t work - and it’s the same on some of my clients sites.

On all my blog posts (see this as an example) I have a small author section where the link is present, and in the footer it’s brand icons.

Would you please log in and investigate?

Thanks for writing in!

The LinkedIn social media link is not causing this. It is the Complianz plugin. It has been a known issue that this plugin conflicts with the builder.

  1. Temporarily disable Complianz : If you’re editing in Cornerstone, simply deactivate the Complianz plugin first, then reactivate it after you’re done editing. This is the simplest and most commonly recommended workaround.
  2. Turn off a specific Complianz integration :
  • Go to Complianz -> Integrations -> Services / Plugins .
  • Try disabling integrations (like YouTube or other services) one by one to figure out which one is causing the conflict.
  • Once you’ve identified it, you can turn that integration off while editing in Cornerstone.
