Contents of component not searchable or viewable in a WordPress Search

Can you please tell me what can be done to make the contents of a component searchable and viewable in a WordPress search?

In short, we created a component called Staff Card, which contains the name and various pieces of contact information (phone, email, job title, etc.) for each employee. However, when anyone performs a WordPress search for an employee, none of the employee information contained within the Staff Card component appears in the search results.

What can be done to fix this issue? This is a pretty glaring issue, especially when we are using a number of other components that contain pertinent information and in this case where someone cannot search a site that contains hundreds of employees.

In another thread, someone mentioned that if the component had [cs_content_seo] that the output could be searchable. Can you please tell me how to add this to the component, so the contents can be searchable?

Due to the fact that this is an intranet, we cannot use a Google Search. It has to be a WordPress search.

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi @dtsui,

Thanks for reaching out.
There might be a few reasons behind your issues, and it will be very difficult to recognize the exact reason without investigation. I would suggest you please provide the site URL along with login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

This is something we are addressing in Pro 6.6. As we move our storage of our content for other plugins to read from Shortcodes to HTML. Unfortunately we can’t really give you a solution for this one till then. Have a great weekend.
