Content area icons missing & Cannot publish Pages... not sure how to fix?

Thanks for the support on fixing the other issue i had where all of the icons were missing, the CORS job thing fixed it.

However we just realized the icons are missing for the content area.
See images below.

xthemeissue2

I am hoping it just another redirect that needs to happen.

I also cannot publish a page, i get error “Publishing failed. You are probably offline.” when i try.
I contacted my hosting provide and they confirmed the classic editor works to publish a page.
So they said the issue is with the theme and its content builder.

Should i reinstall the theme? would that break my existing pages etc?

Thanks for the help.

Hi @cbsdharvey,

Please navigate to Theme Options > Miscellaneous > Fontawesome and make sure all are turn On.

Also, please clear all your caching features (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache).

If the issue persists, please provide us login credentials in a secure note so we can take a closer look.

No, it should not, but don’t just reinstall yet.

Thanks,

I can confirm all are turned on.
Will make sure all cache is cleared next and report backk.

Thanks

Thanks for checking the font awesome settings. Please give us the following info in a secure note if clearing caches doesn’t work.

  • WordPress Login URL
  • Admin level username and password

Thanks.

Thanks Christian,
Issue still persists, I have added the secure note.
Let me know what you find out, i really need to get a page pushed live today.

Thanks

Hello @cbsdharvey,

This isn’t a theme issue. I has something to do with your server configuration. When I create a page, I got this error:

Publishing failed. You are probably offline.

Please go to Settings > SSL > Settings. Kindly fix your .htacess issue.

Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.

I believe those text were put there by the CORS job that i was told to run by another support member on these forums.

At that point all of the fontanywhere icons were missing.
And it did fix that.

But now as you see in the pics above all the icons are missing for the control panel area in the x theme.

Hi @cbsdharvey,

In that case, please remove the CORS fix that was added, and please provide the thread where it’s provided as well. I checked and the reason for this issue is still the same, the CORS. The requests are mixed up of www and non-www URLs and the browser don’t allow it since the CORS header is more strict. Hence, it’s the opposite of the CORS fix that you said is implemented.

Let us know once removed and we’ll check it again.

Thanks!

Here is my original post - All Icons broken

Hi @cbsdharvey,

I checked your website and the problem that you are experiencing is indeed not related to our theme and it is either the cause of code that you added to the HTACCESS for the CORS problem or other server related issue.

You can test that by changing our theme to a default theme and you will see that the problem persists. Please kindly roll back in whatever you have done for the CORS problem, and contact your hosting service provider as they will give you a better solution as they know their settings and setup.

Thank you.
