Also struggling: Personify - Mover - Block Pair won’t go to single column on mobile

hi there,

In the process of building with elements of the Mover I need your help.
I had the same issue as someone before me who posted:

Personify - Mover - Block Pair won’t go to single column on mobile (december2025)

I tried to replicate your solutions by altering these settings in the component. But now scrambled up the settings. Could you please help me with it. The elements i used are from the About-page-template. The sections with title Origin story.

Can you do the work for me? And tell me what you did.

Thanks,

Debora

Hey @DeboraG,

Thanks for writing in! I just have to tweak the component back to the original. Kindly check the page now.

Cheers.

Thanks, for tweaking back.

  • But now it seems I have three columns, the text is not inside the cell…

  • The other question is the same as in this question.
The blockpair does not shrink in a normal way on mobile. This is the post where you guys fixed this.
Personify - Mover - Block Pair won’t go to single column on mobile (december2025)

Can you please fix those two things.

Best regards!

Hi there,

it’s been 6 days now that I’ve been waiting. Can I please get the support?

Thanks

Hey DeboraG,

Are you also editing the page? I was double-checking the component and have made some tweaks, but the page content changed. Maybe I accidentally removed something, or it could be a clash between saving my changes and yours. I already tried the redo buttons but still failed. For sure, the component is reverted back to the same settings when you first import the Mover template.

Cheers.

Hi Ruenel,

Thanks for looking in to it. I was not editing the page.
What is wrong now after your intervention is that the blockpair from your Mover-About-template is not working. The featured image is not showing

.

This all started when I was trying to follow the advice in an other topic about the blockpair not shrinking well on a mobile screen.

And then there’s also my question about making headlines responsive for mobile screens. The size just does not fit.

Hope you will help me todaay with all of these questions.

Thanks,
Debora

Hello Debora,

Could you create a test page with the images and text you want to display so we can build a simpler component instead? I am tinkering with the component on my local test server, and it seems to have been problematic for me as well. This is also what I have:

To save us some time, we can create a new component or have a simple Responsive Grid on your page.

Thanks.

Here is the test-page.
Something bizar occurres. The content text and images are there but are not visible anymore in the component.
I also can not edit the text I put there.

I hope you can fix it all.

As well as making the Intro headline responsive to a mobile screen.
Thanks

Can you please help?

Hey @DeboraG,

We are finding a solution for this. Please stay tuned.

Thanks.

Hello DeboraG,

Use the “New: Block Pair (Featured Image)” component. This is a modified version that collapses on smaller screen sizes into 1 column. In the demo site, the columns do not collapse. You can check it here: https://theme.co/personify/the-mover/about/

Hope this helps.

Hi Ruenel,

Thanks for all the effort so far! In the test page now it’s working. On mobile as well.
I’m learning a lot while playing around with options to change the width.

A question: in rebuilding your section in a grid of my own on the test page, I can not get the featured image to fill the intire space like in your design of the block pair. Which settings do I use to accomplish this?

And then there is still the word ‘Lichaamstherapie’ in the Hero header that needs to shrink on mobile device.

Thanks again for all the good work.

Hey Debora,

You can insert Personify: Box or a DIV element inside the Content cell, where you can set a maximum width for the text contents. Setting a maximum width to 450 pixels would give the Featured Image enough space.

As for the Headline, you can set a responsive font size so that on smaller screens, the whole “Lichaamstherapie” word would fit on small screens.

Cheers.

Hi again,

I worked hard and tried a lot out on the test page. There still is a problem with the blockpair so I tried to recreate it myself with a grid.

Can you please help me with two things:

1
Your new blockpair works with the featured image to the left .
Unfortunately, when the image is to the right and the text to the left, there is still the same problem as before on mobile phones. Can this be fixed?

2
I managed to recreate your Personify design of these Blockpair elements.
Can you please check the sizing of the two featured images? I want to make them fit vertically from top to bottom on different screensizes. May’be I managed it already with the responsive dvh settings… or may’be you have a better suggestion?

Thanks again,
Debora

Hi,

I’ve been waiting for 10 days for you to reply my last two questions.
What is the problem?

I’ve been customer for many years. I used to get prompt reply’s. Always happy about the service.

Please answer my last two questions.

Thanks,

Debora

Hello Deborag,

The thread was assigned to me while I was away.

Anyways,
1.) This is the new Block:

On smaller screens, both will display Text first and then the Image below. Do you want something specific or has a design you want to create that is not the way this component helps? Maybe you can send me a sample layout so we can replicate it for you to save us time going back and forth.

2.) If you want an image that fits from top to bottom of the screen on smaller-screen devices, I think this component is not the best way to do it. It is best that we create a custom layout instead. A simple Row-Column solution can do that as well. If you can send me a sample design or a simple URL so I can check on my phone to give me an idea of a solution that best suits what you have in mind for your site.

Best Regards.

Hi there,

Good to hear from you.

In your abscence I’ve been trying to master working with grid possibilities.
In the Mover I can not figure out what you did to get the responiveness effects. In particular I like the way the featured image moves and adjusts with different screen sizes.
I have made a new test page. On the bottom there are your two new Blockpairs. Above that my new design.
What I would like is the featured image to adjust as in the Mover New Plock Pair. On large screens the featured image does not size up like yours. Neither does it on mobile devices.

Wonderfull if you can support me there.

if you stumble accross beginners faults please give me better solutions to get the same effect.

And a final off topic. Is there a better element to achieve accordion effects?

Thanks,

Debora

Hey Debora,

In your Cell 1, make sure to hide the overflow:

And then, in your Featured Image, set the minimum height to 100%:

And on mobile devices, you may need to tweak your Cell layouts. Change the positions to Auto so that the Cells will collapse.

Check out the demo in the Sections below using the Simple Row/Column layout as well.

As for an accordion effects, do you want something like this?
https://freefrontend.com/css-horizontal-accordions/

This may need custom coding which is beyond the scope of our support. Perhaps, you might be interested with our ONE service. You can check it out here: https://theme.co/one

Best Regards.
