    I was wondering if I really need to install Yoast SEO, as it takes a lot of resources.

    I think the theme is capable of handling SEO itself, right?

    The only other added benefit of Yoast SEO is the XML sitemap but I could use a much simpler plugin for that.

    Please share your thoughts everyone.

    Thanks for writing in!

    Since Yoast SEO is one of the most popular SEO Plugins on WordPress, people love to use it anyway. Of course, X Theme is quite compatible with SEO itself, however you need to put the right contents inside whatever you post to get it indexed on Google. Using Yoast SEO will improve the overall performance of your work.

    Of course, you can use a different plugin too for XML Sitemap only, however Yoast SEO carries everything inside which is a good thing.

    I think I can do without it.. Will be using custom fields for meta-description. thanks for the info
