Hi,
I’m working on creating an events calendar with Event Espresso and we’ve troubles with the plugin and X-Theme. It’s seem the structuring of the scripts are firing are the wrong time.
Here’s the note from Espresso support: There is a JavaScript error being thrown on the page – As the Calendar is JavaSript based any JS errors can prevent it from working. It looks like the error is being thrown from x-theme’s JS so you will need to open a support ticket with them to have them investigate. Image attached of Error.
The Issue – there was a popup when you hover over the dates on the calendar and it shows you further information. It was working until recently. http://thestudypro.com/events-calendar/
Let me know if you need our login details to have a look?
Thanks,

You could try testing for a plugin conflict first. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
May 25, 2016 at 1:21 pm #1009551I just deactivated all out plugins and the problem still remains. But we’ve been having problems with Event Espresso and X-Theme since the beginning of starting a new site. From the Espresso team they say there’s coding that is clashing and that screenshot is from their team to try to get someone from X-Theme to have a look?
Attached is an example of the feature “Calendar Tooltip” which has stopped working recently.
Thanks,
Matt

May 25, 2016 at 2:39 pm #1009680Hey there,
Thanks for writing in! Regretfully this isn’t a feature offered by X. It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities. Thanks for understanding. Take care!
May 25, 2016 at 4:56 pm #1009855That tooltip ‘feaure’ is within the Event Espresso plugin that’s not something we’re coding that’s built into the plugin and it was working 2 weeks back.
So, the main issue we’re trying to resolve is the Javascript error thats happening between X-theme coding and Espresso’s and if someone could take a look at our site or support we could pay for?

Thanks for updating. I have tested your site and I can see the JS error but not sure why it should conflict with the theme’s script. A plugin is supposed to work without interfering with theme’s script and styles where it’s failing.
Regretfully, we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts as our support policy in the sidebar states due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer.
Thank you for your understanding.
