Hello, I am attempting to diagnose, and could use assistance, in the pagespeed test issue of prioritizing visible content.

In short, I’m trying to force the post carousel to prioritized/load regardless of any plugins preventing it from doing so and getting a better speed rank for using x theme.

Is there a simple code I can toss into styles or functions in my child theme to force the post carousel to load and get around this issue?

PS: I am trying to balance requesting custom coding, which I know isn’t what you guys do, with basic coding that enhances the sell-ability of x theme in general. Page speed ranking enhancements definitely are a huge selling point of x theme so thought this would be a good area to tackle.

Thanks for writing in! Scripts and styles for Post Carousel are included within the main files. So there is no individual assets for this that could be prioritized.

Are you able to determine, and if so, what’s preventing the post carousel from loading then as far as above the fold content goes when I do google pagespeed test? This is under the prioritize visible content.

Have deactivated plugins pertaining to caching and other optimizations without effect to bring it back. Trying to determine if -I- did something to cause this issue or if its inherent in the theme and no adjustment can be made.

It’s possible I need the coding for configuring a “critical path css” for the x theme/styles itself which would be inserted inline into the header of the page with a plugin such as above the fold optimization. That’s my best guess.

Regretfully, this particular issue is outside the scope of our support as this is not related to an issue with the theme and instead has to do with your site optimization. As such, you will need to investigate this particular issue on your own or seek help from a developer should you not feel comfortable making these changes yourself.
