I unistalled map and WP, started from scratch and the problem persists… although it takes a little longer to crash… all tabs crash when it happens… heres the scrn shot thxx

Hi there,

You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

ive tried with and without this code in wp-config,

define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘256M’ );
define( ‘WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘512M’ );

ive deleleted everything and started from scratch and still crashing every time :/

Ok so i deactivated all plugins… and it worked for a while, i made a few changes, everything fine then i activated cornerstone – it worked for a while then crashed. i tried the same with rev slider and it crashed after a while. then i deactivated them all again and after a while it crashed! One thing to note though – there is some css in the custom field when id delete the code and try and save it crashes every time i press save. strange?

So will i just have to deactivate all my plugins when i want to use the customiser? and reactivate them when im done… kind of annoying. thx

Hmm, nothing wrong from your provided screenshots. It’s best if we can check it directly, would you mind cloning it to a live it? Or perhaps make your localhost site accessible through internet. There are programs that will allow you to do that, but this https://managewp.com/how-to-access-a-local-website-from-internet-with-port-forwarding is okay too.

What is the problem with the Dashlane extension? Could that be what is making the customiser crash?

Extensions could use a lot of CPU and memory resources so there would be little to nothing left to work with the Customizer. Please check your programs or apps. Try a different computer.

Customiser is working on Safari, theres no extensions… thx a mill
