When the Cornerstone plugin is loaded, my site will take at least a minute to load the “edit” screen for any page. And then, there is no content shown – I can’t edit anything at all. It’s a blank page. If I deactivate the Cornerstone plugin, then I am able to immediately load the Edit page. But of course then my content doesn’t work properly.

I’m not sure what the exact problem was, but since my site was relatively new, I did a complete re-install. All is well, the theme is working now.
