Mobile safari is chrashing when trying to RSVP to event in calendar from iPhones. There is no issue with Android or desktops. It does fix the issue if X-theme is deactivated. Any suggestions for solution?

Thanks for posting in.
Would you mind providing a video recording how to reproduce it? I just tried and I don’t see any issue.
Thanks!

March 1, 2017 at 1:15 pm #1390768Hi there,
What version of safari you’re testing with? Could you try another browser? It works on my end but I like to know if it’s specific to a browser. Most common issue with crashing in phone’s browser is javascript, try reducing the javascript running from your site by disabling them.
Disabling the theme will also disable other javascript, hence, make it work.
Thanks!
March 2, 2017 at 4:07 am #1391623Versions of safari is whatever version iPhone is running. My iPones ios version is 10.2.1. But there is dozens of reports from different iPhone models and different ios versions. As on ios all browswers are using single engine, all of them are chrashing (Chrome, Mozzila, ect.).
As far as I can see jquery is runing when confirmation button is clicked. I cant disable jquery as it disables calendar and all sliders on site. Looks like there is some sort of a mobile script running on x-theme that is causing the issue but I have no ability to see whats happening on ios device during crash.
Either I find solution or my final otion is to change theme, which I hope I wont have to do.

March 2, 2017 at 6:39 am #1391744Do you have custom JS added to X? Please remove all customizations temporarily then check again. Also try removing widgets.
Thanks.

March 2, 2017 at 6:13 pm #1392599Hi there,
I can confirm this on my iPad (iOS 10.2), but only once. I checked it with a device with iOS 10.1 and no problem at all. It seems like related to memory leak and specific to OS version. Has issues with 10.2 in iPhone, but it’s not because of the theme. It’s because of the calendar, it requires processing power and cause memory leakage and disabling the theme will, of course, going to free up some of the processing power that requires by the calendar. Try disabling the calendar and it will continue working.
Unfortunately, I can’t find any temporary fix for this. I’ll continue checking but I can’t promise any solution. Seems like your calendar wishes to run alone.
Thanks.
