    Hi!

I’m currently trying to re-build by site from Genesis over to X.

Site url that I’m using for the X re-build: musiciansdiet.com
    Original site: piano-couture.com

I’ve imported my custom fonts with Typekit. For my main header, I’m using very light fonts (100).
In X’s editors (Cornerstone and Customize) the fonts display as thin as they should (and as they do on my current piano-couture.com). However, when I save and browse to the front-end, they appear with more weight (“fatter,” if you like).
Does X add some display rule, adding more weight to the fonts?

I attached screenshots. The X editor one is clear, the other two: the thinner font is my original site, the one with more weight is how X outputs what you see in the editor as well (editor = good, frontend = too bold)

    Thanks.

    Hi Coen,

The screenshots didn’t upload due to upload limit.

Kindly upload the screenshot to your site and then provide us the links so we can understand the issue better.

Please provide us your wordpress admin login(in private reply) as well.

    Thanks

    Hi Paul,

    Thanks for your response.

Don’t know what happened there with the uploads… can’t get them to work ok, but if you’d be so kind, you can just check it out for yourself by checking the difference between:

piano-couture.com (my current site on Genesis) and
    musiciansdiet.com (my X re-build)

In the header, I’ve used the same font weight for the “Hack Music” and for the sub title I’ve even used a thinner font setting on the X build.

As you can see they are outputted bolder than the Genesis one, which I believe outputs the correct weight (based on how Typekit displays the font).

So my question: does X add weight to fonts? Is this a known {feature, issue} or why is this happening? Can I turn it off in any way?

    Thanks for your help.

    Cheers, Coen.

Ps. as per mentioned, when I’m in editor mode (either on Cornerstone or Customize) the fonts DO get displayed as thin as they should…

    Hi Coen,

Sorry, there doesn’t seem to be a difference.

It looks the same on my end.

    hmmm.. that is really weird.

On my end it looks like this (one more shot with uploading those screenshots)

(this was still using the same weight for the sub heading)

    Hi There,

That is how it looks on my end, on which broswer and device you are experiencing the issue?

    Please let us know
