    I’ve installed X theme. It seems to install and activate ok, but every time I try to validate it using my purchase code it says “Verifying license…” and finally comes back with the message “Uh oh, we couldn’t check if this license was valid”. There’s a “Details” link then, which when clicked returns the message “The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred”. From that point on I can do nothing and if I return to the dashboard of my hosting account, clicking refresh on my WordPress installation returns the error message “An unforeseen error occurred. Please contact hosting support”. It seems that my WordPress installation is being corrupted somehow. I have to completely uninstall WordPress (v4.7.2-238) and then reinstall it to get started again. I’ve experimented with other themes supplied with WordPress and they all work fine so all arrows are pointing to the X Theme. I did contact my hosting provider for help, they told me it looks like a coding error with the X Theme.

    So that’s where I’m at. Any ideas anyone?

    X version:Don’t know – cannot find out because the X Theme installation is unstable
    Cornerstone plugin version:Again don’t know for the same reason.

    I don’t know if this is of any significance but I purchased my license for X in 2015, though I did re-download the template files from Envato yesterday.

    Would you mind validating your domain again. To revalidate it, remove the domain from your license page then add it again. After that, please share us in private your purchase code you use to validate your domain.

    The fact you purchased yur license in 2015 does not make difference.

    Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

    – Link to your site
    – WordPress Admin username / password
    – FTP credentials

    Hi there,

    This is the error,

    Error establishing a database connection

    It’s not related to the theme, since you’re on windows hosting then it could be related to faulty configuration. Please note that X theme is just a theme, it doesn’t have direct access to database or installation process. Would you mind providing your hosting provider and request for error logs?
