Hello,

I upgraded X to 4.4.2
Visual Composer is upgraded to 4.11.2.1
Cleared cache

I’m able to see visual composer in the editor, but I am not able to see the content when I click preview or publish. Just a blank screen.

When I disable the X-Integration I am able to see the contents on the page.

I don’t want to have the X-Integration disabled, as I believed it’s there for a reason.

What can I do? Please help.

Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password
– FTP credentials

Hi there,

Thanks for writing back.

I see a couple of warnings on the front-end editor in Visual Composer, though these are warnings and not errors so shouldn’t cause any issues.

Have you tried disabling W3 Total cache and removing the code it adds to your wp-config.php and .htaccess? It could be conflicting with Visual Composer.

If after trying that it still doesn’t work, please post FTP details in a private reply so we can further debug.

Hi there,

Your cornerstone and visual composer work just fine, the main reason why your home page isn’t editable through cornerstone or visual composer is because the content isn’t built from either one.

And Pure Chat plugin makes cornerstone slower. I disabled it.

Please check now, create a new page and use Visual Composer and Cornerstone, they are working properly. Again, you can’t edit page’s content if they aren’t made from vc or cornerstone.

Unfortunately, I respectfully disagree with the above reply.

The website has been working without this problem while using the PureChat plugin before this update and in a previous reply I was told the problem was the W3 Total Cache plugin.

They are both disabled and still the problem persist.

I’ve been using both plugins with X, Cornerstone & VC for many months without a problem, only after the latest X update is there an issue.

But still, I will follow instructions and leave both plugins deactivated.

The original home page was created with Corner Stone, but the code had been wiped out after the update. Good thing I was able to recover from a backup on the system and you can see it now back up on the homepage.

If you go to the address you will see a green blank page, but if you look at the source you will see the Visual Composer code.

I started a new test draft to test out Cornerstone and it worked, but I did the same for Visual Composer and when I click Preview the page is blank. I need Visual Composer to work. It is the reason that sold me on purchasing the X theme.

Please, test it for yourself. You will see. 🙁

Thanks for providing further details. In fact, my test is only based on what I see. I’m not even sure that it was wiped out or which was was built in visual composer, until now 🙂

The test is just based on the provided initial information. And I’m not saying it’s the chat plugin that causes it, it just makes the loading process slower. And any plugin or theme that uses ajax requests will always contribute to loading time. I just disabled it to narrow it down.

I checked again and glad you’re able to recover your home page and it’s working okay but slow. And I checked this https://tightdesigns.com/4002-2/ too and yes, I’m able to see the issue. The issue is that your visual composer’s templates are still old because it fails to update it due to file permission. I updated it from my own copy. Please check now.
