Hi,
I installed WPMLand am making my site bilingual bit by bit, but there are several problems.
Please note that my new default language is Hebrew (rtl) and that I have two menus: One Page menu, which is set to the home page through X customizer and a Main menu, which is the default for the rest of the site. I temporarily made the One Page menu the primary menu so that the Hebrew home page can be tested until I figure out how to make this work…Here is the list of current problems:
- Hebrew home page does not show the revolution slider. I doesn’t show at all at the top of the page, but is visible when clicking the “+” symbol at the top right corner.
- The menu bar is taken from the default Main menu, instead of showing the translated One Page menu.
- I seems that Styles work partially: It looks like the headers are styled, but not centered as they are in the EN version. Regular text isn’t styled at all. Also the paralax effect of the one page navigation is lost on the Hebrew version and last, but not least: the Google map embedding doesn’t work.
Please advise what steps I need to take to have the Hebrew version run smoothly as the EN.

I just sent the details you require for access. I trust you and ThemeCo enough for me to do this, but as you realize, this is not trivial… Please take care…
Thanks,

January 29, 2014 at 12:26 pm #9363Hey Sam, we have received your email and will continue to assist you with this matter via email. We are aware this is not a trivial issue. Thanks.
January 29, 2014 at 3:32 pm #9411Hi Kory,
I am taking small steps into resolving the issues myself, but the major ones remain: the menu and the slider.
As far as the styles go, I mistook the private styles within the content bands I took from Renew 10, with the theme’s inherited styles. this was an easy fix.
For the slider, currently I simply put a slider band inside the translated page so it looks like the EN page on the surface. However, the menu issue is really bugging:
Currently, the One Page navigation menu appears only of I set it as primary. In the English site, I have a Main menu and a One Page menu. The one page menu is set through the X customizer and the Main is set through the WP admin. Thus, I have one page navigation in the one page and regular navigation in the rest of the site.
In the Hebrew default site this is not possible: I have the primary menu in all of the pages including the one page. If I set One Page menu to be the primary it shows in all pages and also does not provide the smooth one page navigation as in the English page. Right now I set the Main to be the primary, as this is the least worst solution currently.January 29, 2014 at 6:03 pm #9458Hey Samuel,
Feel free to continue emailing us on this issue as it will likely work a little faster to help find solutions on these matters. We are actively working to investigate these issues.
Thanks!
January 30, 2014 at 12:05 am #9535I just wanted to follow up on this post for anyone experiencing similar issues. The issue related to the one page navigation not showing up correctly was due to an older version of the theme being used. Upon updating the theme to the latest version, everything worked as expected. The slider in this particular case is not showing due to an issue with the WPML plugin and the fact that it does not “see” pages correctly when using the get_pages() core WordPress function. We use this function to get all pages used throughout the theme and place them into the dropdown in the Customizer for users to add their slider too. Since WPML does not honor this function correctly, we are working to address this in a future version of X. Most likely, we will need to move this option from the Customizer and onto each individual page. This should alleviate this problem and provide the flexibility that WPML users need.
Thanks!

As I wrote in the email, you are a life-saver. The one page menu issue was dealt through the meta meta options underneath the page editor.
Thanks for the patience and the guidance. Your support and the theme itself are amazing.

February 8, 2014 at 3:37 pm #12443Dear support,
I am experiencing the same problem about home “above slider” with WPML.
The slider is the same, it isn’t multilingual (just photos…), but I need it both on English and Italian homepage.
It now works only on the main italian homepage.
Is there any workaround? I looked into the code but no chance…
Please let us know…
Thanks
LucaFebruary 9, 2014 at 12:42 am #12494Hey Luca,
We are working on addressing this for a future release of the theme. The problem actually lies with a bug in WPML which does not display the alternate versions of your pages when fetching all pages with the get_pages() function in WordPress. We are likely going to have to address this by moving the sliders option to each page individually. For the time being, you can get around this by placing the shortcode for your slider directly onto the page for your alternate version.
Thanks!
