    Hello,

    I know the theme has switched from WPBakery Visual Composer to Cornerstone. My question is: It wont let me keep visual composer up to date, so can I just delete it or should i disable it? Just got hacked recently and am trying to scale things down and make sure things are updated and secure.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing in! You can simply delete your current Visual Composer plugin and install it through X Addons section, so that it will install the latest compatible version from our repository.

    It says I can’t delete while its active on site….Is this gonna delete or change visual changes I’ve made to the site and shortcodes?

    Just now I went to explore by clicking on the “Cornerstone” tab in my dashboard and this show up:
    Fatal error: Function name must be a string in /home/content/54/8701654/html/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone/includes/classes/admin/class-admin.php on line 72

    Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

    – Link to your site

    Hi There,

    Thanks for the details.

    First backup your setup.

    After if you already got a backup, please deactivate visual composer then add again the visual composer using the X addson.

    Then, update your cornerstone and X theme to the latest version.

    You can check the latest and compatible x theme and plugin versions in our changelog
