Steve SParticipantI found a number of topics about this and even an article you posted in January, but when I try to add Total Cache (or the other top cache plug in) I am told I can’t install it. I’m working to speed up my site and would really like to be able to use a cache plug in. Any suggestions.
Thanks.

Steve SParticipantThat is one of the plugins that gave the warning (and won’t let me install it though the plugin page) “this plugin is not allowed” – it’s on the screen shot I sent you. I imagine I can manually install it but figure there’s a reason for the warning.

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
The provided credentials didn’t work, please check.
For the time being, if you have any security plugin, please disable it and then try to install W3 total cache plugin.Hope it helps.

Steve SParticipantI’m confused why X Theme keeps avoiding a straight answer to this question. I found a number of other posts asking the same. When trying to install is say “The plugin is not allowed” for both the top cache plugins. I am not running any security plug in or hardly anything outside of what came with X (plus Yoast SEO, google maps, smushit). I can install this through my FTP but just want to make sure I’m not going to cause problems with my site.
I forgot our password for the site was updated – I’ll send that in a private message.
Thanks.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for updating in! I have checked the plugins section and I can see this noticed. Please be advised that this has nothing to do with X or Cornerstone. Just to prove it, I want you to deactivate X theme and use the TwentyFifteen theme. You will still see this notice. That is because this comes from your host. It could that your hosting provider has blocked this plugin from being installed. This issue needs to be addressed to GoDaddy as they seem to have blocked the installation of W3 Total Cache on some of their hosting plans. Please check this out: https://uk.godaddy.com/help/installing-and-configuring-the-w3-total-cache-plugin-on-wordpress-7299
Hope this explains it.
