Just updated my X Theme to 4.4.1 and Cornerstone as well as Addons.

Now I have the following message on my Plugins page in WP

Activate Slider Revolution for Premium Benefits. You can Enter an existing licence key or Purchase a licence key.

I’ve never seen this before in the previous versions. Is there something I should do to activate?

WP version: 4.4.2

My existing slider appears to be working fine but I’m just concerned about what Im seeing on the WP Plugin page.

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! The activation won’t affect your site in anyway. ThemePunch needs the activation only if you’ve purchased Rev Slider separately for support and auto updates purposes. But, since it is bundled with X, you don’t need to enter validation codes because the version of Rev Slider we ship is customized for X.

I’m getting the same thing – it is annoying because admin keeps saying 1 plugin needs updating and the plugin section doesn’t look ‘tidy. I know its not affecting anything but it messes with my OCD having plugins out of date! 🙁

There is no need to register your license for Revolution Slider if you happen to have one. In fact, doing so is discouraged in order to prevent any potential conflicts when updating, as previously mentioned. If you happen see a notification in your WordPress admin panel asking you to register Revolution Slider upon activation, simply dismiss this notice.
