    Hi,

Is it possible to have the sidebar only on Product Categories page but not on Shop page?

If I set the shop layout to use Global Content Layout which is content – sidebar, the sidebar will appear on all pages (shop page and product categories page).

I’ve tried to remove all the widgets on the sidebar but on Shop page, it still maintained the layout (content – sidebar), leaving plenty of space on the right side.

What I want to achieve is to have fullwidth for Shop page, and to display sidebar on product categories page only.

    Thanks,
    swsalim

    Hi,

The site isn’t live. I’m working on it on my local so I can’t provide you with any URL.

Below are the links for the screenshots:
    Shop page: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6L3ddmofHP0bmNjanpNTm5yWUk
Product categories page – Posters: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6L3ddmofHP0b0pCN3FGNHNsaXM

So what I’ve done so far was:
    1. Go to ‘Appearance’ – ‘Sidebar’ and create new sidebar and select the product category under ‘all taxonomy’, which in this case is posters
    2. Go to ‘Appearance’ – ‘Customize’ – Woocommerce – Shop Layout – Use global content layout (content left, sidebar right)
    3. Remove all widgets from ‘Main Sidebar’

However, removing all widgets from ‘Main Sidebar’ still make the Shop page maintains its layout.

If I set the shop layout to fullwidth, it will cause the Product categories page – Posters to be full width and therefore, I can’t see the sidebar

Can you direct me what I can do/try to make Shop page – fullwidth and display sidebar on Product Categories page?

    Thanks.

    Hello There,

Upon checking the screenshots, I am not permitted to view it. You may upload screenshots here:http://tinypic.com/?t=postupload
The best we can do is to make shop page fullwidth and display sidebar on categories page only is to hide the sidebar on shop page using custom CSS. We can suggest a custom CSS once we can access your site on online. Please upload it on a test server so we can check. Thank you.

Sorry for the late reply, didn’t notice that.

I’ll let you know once I manage to put it up on a test server. Seems like I have to use custom css like what you mentioned.

    Thanks.
