    Hello,

After the 2.6.0 Woocommerce database update, Woocommerce is displaying all products in 2 only columns.

I was using the Woocommerce Plugin Customizer (v1.0.0) along with custom CSS in the editor to product 4 columns for large screens, 2 for smaller, and 1 for mobile.

I’m now suddenly getting this message on the system status page, and need some advice on how to get my preferred number of columns back:

“Your theme has a woocommerce.php file, you will not be able to override the woocommerce/archive-product.php custom template since woocommerce.php has priority over archive-product.php. This is intended to prevent display issues.”

    My details:

    WordPress v4.5.2
    Woocommerce v 2.6.0
    X-child theme v1.0.0
    Parent theme v4.5.2
    Cornerstone v1.2.4

    Hi there,

Please select number of shop columns under Customize -> Woocommerce. You don’t need third party plugin to achieve that, please disable the plugin and remove custom CSS.

    Hope it helps.

    Hi there,

Customize > Woocommerce simply ignores changes I make, which is why I needed to resort to wrangling the desired layout with a third-party plugin and custom css in the first place. Even without the custom code, or the customizer plugin, setting columns to ‘4’ will still return a single column, and setting products per page to ’12’ will always still return ‘8’.

    Any ideas on this?

I also found this thread in the Woocommerce plugin support forum on WordPress.org that I think I should run by you.

    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/26-update-product-column-display-is-wrongwrong-number-of-products-shown

It basically outlines my exact problem, and I’ll be attempting to implement the given fixes tomorrow, and I’ll post my results back here.

Quick update: decided to give it a go right away. Using method 1 from the above thread, I commented out the given lines from the respective files in my child theme’s Woocommerce folder, and the products are now displaying perfectly once again.

Having suffered from previous Woocommerce updates and X theme not supporting these, I will wait for the theme to be updated. Hopefully it won’t take weeks.
