umbertofedericoParticipantI have bought and installed a new X theme for a client. Since he needs a webstore, I activated Woocommerce delivered with X and started building it. I wondered, why certain things like the product image looked different…but it didn’t bother me too much at that time. That has changed – I am having issues with downloadable products, the image gallery drives me nuts and I simply don’t understand WHY in the world you would use a beta version with your theme??? I have no idea how to get it back to a stable AND working version. I tried uninstalling the beta and manually uploading an earlier version…nothing. Everything in Woocommerce acted up on me! Can you PLEASE tell me how to fix this??

DarshanaModeratorHi there,
Thanks for writing in! You can check the latest X compatible version numbers from here (https://community.theme.co/kb/version-compatibility/). For example latest X theme will be fully compatible with WooCommerce v2.6.9. You can try installing that version and see if that helps.
If not, please provide us with the URL to your WooCommerce store, so that we can check your issues.
Thanks!

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing back. X actually doesn’t suggest the beta rather the stable one from WordPress plugin repository. Please use the stable version and update us if you face any issue. There is a known issue of the beta version and we have already forwarded this to our developer so it pulls the stable version instead of beta. Hopefully we’ll get a solution soon but for now, kindly use the WordPress repository.
Cheers!

umbertofedericoParticipantAs I already said: I did try to install the stable version and it messed everything up. My product page didn’t load properly anymore. So how am I supposed to take it back to the stable version?

umbertofedericoParticipantI got it to work. There was a faulty template file causing the problems. I copied a working woocommerce folder from another site I own and pasted it onto the faulty one. This seems to have worked. I’m currently looking for any other problems.

Sam GParticipantHi Themeco Team
Can we please get an announcement of some sort when this beta/stable issue is resolved with WooCommerce? I’m in the middle of a large migration of an online store to WooCommerce (because it’s embedded into X), and would love to know asap when this is fixed.
Thanks,

RupokMemberHi Sam,
Thanks for getting in touch. Actually it needs to be fixed from WooCommerce end since their latest channel serving beta version instead of latest compatible version. I hope we will get a solution for this soon. Meantime, kindly download and install the latest compatible version from here – https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce/developers/
Cheers!
