riflebirdParticipantHi there,
I’m designing a woo commerce site and looking to add a ‘standard’ ecomms menu to the top bar area (login / account / basket / checkout etc). I’ve seen a couple of posts on adding html to the top bar content area or amending PHP and CSS files to crowbar a menu into the top bar area but they are a couple of years old and just want to check this is the only option? Seems a bit of an oversight if this is the case, as this is pretty essential and basic for any ecomms site.
Using WP 4.6.3, WooCommerce 2.6.13, X-theme 4.6.4 (integrity stack).
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave

ChristianModeratorHey Dave,
As of now, those are your only options. But, there would be header and footer builder feature that would be available soon. Please stay tuned for updates.
Thanks.

riflebirdParticipantHi Christian,
Thanks for getting back to me. Before I work on functions.php and wp-header.php, can I not use a shortcode in topbar content area? I did just try this an added menu shortcode into Customize > header > topbar content but just shows the [shortcode] as text. Am I missing something?
Many thanks,
Dave

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
I’m sorry but adding shortcodes in topbar area is not possible, it displays shorcodes as plain text.
Thanks.
