    Hey guys,

    I know this seems to be quite a common issue, but since I don’t have much experience with all this stuff I need some help.

    I didn’t visit my website for quite some time and today I wanted to get all the latest updates, that I read about in the Newsletters.. Now. I did all the updates and suddenly: white screen.

    As I had this kind of problem before I tried to deactivate all the plugins via FTP but that wouldn’t work. I then tried to deactivate X, which let me get onto the wp-backend. All the updates are done and as soon as I want to activate any theme it seems everything “breaks” again..

    Please, if you could help me with this that would be great!

    Thanks for writing in!

    It sounds like a fatal PHP error. Can you please enable WP_DEBUG mode? You can do this by opening wp-config.php and adding define( 'WP_DEBUG' , true ); just above /* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

    When you revisit the page with the white screen, you should have some error output.

    Let us know what you find out.
