    Hi,

    I have just updated to Version 4.4.1 and found an error in my Category Page View for a category named SERVICES.

    I have four pages in the category which show a featured images and a couple of lines of intro text. On two of the pages the lines of intro text has vanished? See image attached

    Can you help?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing in! It seems your website is under construction. Please take it off or provide us the credentials in private reply so that we can check and assist you on this.

    Meantime check the excerpt field on your post editor and try placing some excerpts there.

    Hi,

    After some research I found that excerpts will not work using Cornerstone. Two of my services pages were put together using Cornerstone and two were not. Hence two pages without excerpts!

    Would this have been the problem, or have I stumbled across this by coincidence?

    Thanks for writing back!

    Yes, this issue could occur if you use Cornerstone to create pages or posts. WordPress excerpt excludes the shortcodes generated by Cornerstone. This also removes the text inside those shortcodes. To avoid this behaviour, you’ll need to manually add excerpt in the posts created in Cornerstone. To do that, go to your post edit page, and add your custom excerpt under Excerpt section (see: http://prntscr.com/5qfd39). If the “Excerpt” section is not visible for you, please enable it under Screen Options dropdown (see: http://prntscr.com/5qfdp7).
