Please help me oh wise Xpert! 🙂 I’ve been working on different options all day to build a site for a home builder.

Please see attached diagram. I need to create a landing page of “Homes for Sale” like in a grid, then when the image is clicked it should open a detailed page for the house (preferably built in Cornerstone). I know I can do this with loads of pages. BUT is there a better way??

I need to move houses from “for sale” to a “Home Gallery” page where “sold” homes are listed quickly and regularly after the site is built. Is there a way to load all the house info somewhere and have it in a “category” so I can move it from “Homes for Sale” to the sold “Homes Gallery” with a click and have it appear on the different pages?

I have considered different grids, the X portfolio tool and custom posts (even briefly considered Jetpack but ruled it out quickly due to feedback).

Please see attached and give me your expert feedback on X Theme tools that are best to use for this.

I’m using latest version of everything, X parent theme and renew stack. Url: http://0cf.40e.myftpupload.com/home-construction/homes-for-sale/ (so far this is created with image element that links to all individual pages).

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! It seems you have already tried most of the options. You could use Essential Grid, The Grid, X Portfolio to achieve this. If any of them doesn’t solve your requirements, you should go with custom post type but I think it would be easier to utilize the existing options.
