    I just downloaded 4.6.4 and installed the X theme. I do not see the shortcodes plugin.

    I also checked the folder on my computer, and in framework/plugins there is a .zip file for the cornerstone plugin, but that is the only plugin listed. I also went to themeforest and downloaded the complete set of files and documentation, and again, I do not see the shortcodes plugin in the plugins folder….only cornerstone.

    Where is the shortcodes plugin? What am I missing here?

    Hi There,

    X=Shortcode as incorporated by Cornerstone, you do need Cornerstone active to run X even if you decide to not use the builder.

    Thanks. Looks like the x theme documentation then is out of date, as Page 11 in the installation doc is very explicit about the shortcode plugin. That same document mentions the visual composer, which also (I guess) was replaced by Cornerstone. How hard can it be to update the documentation…maybe 2 minutes total? I wasted a few precious hours trying to figure this out.

    Hmmm, I wonder how many other issues like this I’ll run into….
