Hi All

I have just downloaded X and I am setting up the Plugins and Extensions

When I try to install Visual Composer and Slider Revolution I get the following error message The plugin does not have a valid header.

Do I need to get them from somewhere else or can you tell me how to solve this issue.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for writing in! This sometimes comes up due your hostings security settings. The bundled VC and Rev Slider are modified versions that are optimized to work with X ans X shortcodes. Hence, we include the plugins in the X theme installations. Some hosts won’t allow you to install from a local directory. Here’s what you can do:

First find this folder: /wp-content/themes/x/framework/plugins

Download the files and upload them. You can use the WordPress plugin installer or you can FTP the extracted folders to
/wp-content/plugins. Depending on if your webhost’s file explorer allows you to extract zip files, you may need to extract the files before or after upload.
