Sorry to have to do this to you, I am having the same problem as tons of others with installing the AGENCY demo theme and content. I am not sure why. I have installed this theme 3 times before with no issues. This is the first time using GoDaddy for the hosting. I called them and created the .user.ini as they instructed and did what I have read on other forums so now it’s up to you! 🙂

I started off with a fresh install with a new temp domain. The other stacks installed, but the Expanded Demos do not.

I know it’s not a connection issue as the tech at GoDaddy tried to do it himself. Also they are not restricting access to AmazonS3. I checked the Troubleshooting guide as well as you have suggested in other posts.

When I’ve tried to clear the cache using this line: /wp-admin/admin.php?page=x-addons-demo-content&clean-cache (obviously using my own domain) I got this error: Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.

I finally found out what the issues was with using this theme. Apparently X-Theme and GoDaddy “Managed” WordPress hosting do not like each other. The managed part of that hosting platform does not allow whatever the extended themes need to load properly. So what I had to do to use this theme on my GoDaddy account was switch over my hosting plan to a cpanel account that does not have all the bells and whistles I had before. After an hour with the tech at GoDaddy, I switched hosting plans and the Agency demo content worked just fine.

It’s too bad I spent a good 4 hours of my life trying to get this website up and running.

If anybody else is using GoDaddy and has the same issues, please check to see if you are using their MANAGED WORDPRESS HOSTING plan, if so, it will not work.

Thank you for your reply. I was looking to install AGENCY as the extended demo. Since I could not, the only choice I had at the time was to change my hosting plan and the only way I could do that was to up it for 3 years! So that is what I did. I was afraid that if added manually the website would break once it was back in the Managed WordPress hosting program they have. I would prefer the managed if possible as those servers seem to be faster. Rue, are you telling me that the content could have been added manually and I would not have had problems? Oh bummer. Would you say having a cpanel is better for my website? I did not have that before. You have my login credentials if you want to poke around on the website. I hope I did not make a big mistake.

Hello Frank,

Thanks for updating in! I have manually installed the Agency demo customizer settings and the Agency Slider in your site. I wasn’t able to import the posts, pages, portfolios and other media because it encountered some fatal error. We recommend that you increase your memory allocated to PHP. To increase it, please edit your wp-config.php file and insert these lines:

define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );

You can add it before the line
/*That's all, stop editing! Happy Blogging. */

Once the PHP memory is increased, please import the XML file again. It is in the attached file.

To anyone who might be experiencing the same issue with GoDaddy Hosting, I have attached the demo contents so that you can install it manually in your site. Please follow these steps:
#1] Please download the attached files.
#2] Please unzip the Agency-xcs.json.zip and Agency-posts-pages-portfolio-media.xml.zip
#3] Please go to X Addons > Customizer Manager and import the XCS file.
#4] Please go to Tools > Import and import the Agency-posts-pages-portfolio-media.xml
#5] Please go to Slider Revolution and import the Agency slider
