jamievilasiniParticipantHi There,
I’ve been developing this site for the past month in a local environment. When i went live with it on our dev server, it was working fine for about 30 minutes then i opened up cornerstone on the homepage of the live site and made a small edit in the custom css, saved it, and then now many of my background images in the homepage are not displaying in mobile and tablet. I cleared my caches in the desktop browsers and tested in chrome, firefox and safari and working fine at desktop size. Also, the images in my slider revolution slider (background video, and some pngs) are not working on mobile and tablet either.
My Set up:
X child theme
All up to date
Only using x add on plugins
Integrity stacklooking forward to hearing from you, thanks!

jamievilasiniParticipantso its interesting, even though my image links all appear to have the correct new URL associated with them, something happened on the transfer of the site and all of the images have gotten de-linked somehow. URLs changed but when i go into each page, open cornerstone, then press save- all of the images stop appearing (on that page). The fix is to go in and add them all again. They are appearing in cornerstone, just not showing up live. Anyway, i think the problem was in the transfer of the site, not the theme. Any ideas? I use backupbuddy to transfer my sites – i’ve never had this problem before.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for writing in and the very detailed information. It turns out that your images comes from the local server such as this: http://localhost:8888/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/plus-parallax-01.png
All we need to do is to run a search and replace so that we can update the image path. So I went ahead and installed WP Migrate DB plugin. The issue has now been resolve. Please check your site now.

jamievilasiniParticipantDear Rue Nel,
Thank you soooo much!! saved me so much time! I use backupbuddy to migrate and normally the links all get copied over, also in the Media library in this install, all of the paths said the new URL, although you are right- they were behaving like and also truly still coming from localhost. The only way that i could see that it was happening was via the chrome inspector- otherwise, in WordPress it all looked fine!
I have a few follow up questions before we close this topic:
1. I will be migrating this site from our dev server to the clients live server in a couple of days, should i follow the same steps you did if i run into this problem again? install WP Migrate DB plugin? was it easy to understand what to do or will i need some instruction:
2. Should i keep this plugin installed here in my dev server while i migrate to the live server? or should i delete the plugin and activate it again once i go live?
3. After final migration and launch is finished and everything is working well, should i deactivate and delete the plugin WP Migrate DB?
thanks again for all of your help and support!
