Hi, i get that strange warning all across my site except the home page:

Warning: mysqli_num_fields() expects parameter 1 to be mysqli_result, boolean given in /…/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 3091

To be it even worse it is at the top of the page.
From what i read it is caused by w3 total cache and they aren’t responding about it. The strange thing is, on my staging site is working fine. I migrated that site to main domain, would you please take a look and advise me, what to do?

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! For the moment, try disabling your database cache and see if that works for you. Then you can try purging all of your current cache and try enabling it again.

Hi,
Yes, it is working know. And i always wanted to ask – what means purging cache?
And today i ran into a new – and this time a big one – problem.
I got hacked.
When you visit my site and click on an icon an add opens in a new tab. Now, how do we get rid of that?
Please help.
And for the future – how do i protect my site? What would you suggest? I have akismet and bulletproof security installed, i run on https…what else can i do?
Any ideas for buddypress registration?

Purging cache means deleting cache so your site will generate a new cache content using the updated code/content.

I deleted w3 total cache for now.

i would like to that add some sort of securtity to buddypress registraion in the form of captcha, honeypot.something like that.
