Hi there! I thought I would try the W3 Total Cache on a client’s website but it seems to be killing the Revolution Slider. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same thing. W3TC did say it was untested with my version of WP, so maybe that’s the issue.

All cache is turned off right now. I did add the Gzip compression into .htaccess, re: https://theme.co/x/member/kb/performance/

    WP is 4.1.1
    X is 3.2.3
    Rev Slider is 4.6.5
    W3TC is 0.9.4.1

Anything else I can spit out for you? 🙂
Thanks in advance! BTW I tried WP Super Cache and found I was having huge lag times with the Admin area, and honestly it seems to be running quicker without any caching right now, but I don’t know that’s wise. Thoughts?

I guess what I’m asking is if there are any other caching plugins I should try instead of the 2 that don’t seem to be helping me much. Or is the Total Cache is the way to go, but there’s a bug? :/

    Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! W3 Total Cache plugin should work fine. May be another plugin is conflicting with W3 Total Cache plugin? You can try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all other plugins except for X recommended plugins and W3 Total Cache plugin, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

If this doesn’t help then you can try any plugin from the list of 5 popular caching plugin http://www.sitepoint.com/5-of-the-most-popular-wordpress-caching-plugins/

    Hope this helps!

It’s definitely a W3TC (Minify to be exact) and Revolution Slider conflict – and I did find this thread https://wordpress.org/support/topic/w3-total-cache-slider-doesnt-work-anymore (see comment by thecjmnetwork with steps to fix). Trouble is I got derailed with doing the manual entries for including all the CSS and JS files in Minify options area – I think. I don’t know if I got them all because when I first go to the website it’s still really slow to load it seems. I’ve got it so the cache is turned on and the rev slider banners etc are working but it’s still really slow.

I’ll check out the list you mentioned. thanks.
