PunchBugIndyParticipantHi,
I’ve recently found that x theme is automatically inserting an h1 tag on my company logo. I want to remove this because I do not want the same h1 tag on every page of my website. It’s also creating multiple h1 tags on some pages, which is not good for SEO. Can you tell me where this tag is coming from and how to remove it? See screenshot for example.

PunchBugIndyParticipantI don’t understand. I don’t want to remove the logo. I want to remove the duplicate h1 tag.

PunchBugIndyParticipantYeah, I tried it. It didn’t fix anything. Is it just me or is it crazy that I have to fix the theme myself? Seems like this should be a priority for your team.

PunchBugIndyParticipantI’ve tried this several times now using the method you shared. Still no luck. Can you help me resolve this? This is a major issue and I need a fix that will work for all 12 of my x licenses.

FriechModeratorHi There,
I did go ahead and remove the
<h1 class="visually-hidden">from your site. See the file _brand.php on your child theme’s/wp-content/themes/x-child/framework/views/globaldirectory.You can copy that to your other sites, if they have no existing _brand.php file on the child theme.
My changes did not take effect on my first few page reload. So please clear your browser’s cache and caching plugin/feature your site might have.
Thanks.

PunchBugIndyParticipantThank you. Can you tell me if I had the _brand.php file in the right place?

JoaoModeratorHi There,
The files and folders on the child theme should reflect the same path as on your main theme.
Glad to hear we managed to help,
Cheers
