Hi, I have an issue with ‘Visual’ editor on Posts, Pages and Portfolio items. When I try to update a post, page or portfolio item I can’t see any content in ‘Visual’. Word count would indicate that there is content. Yoast SEO also doesn’t seem to be able to see the content. However when I click ‘text’ editor I can see the content. When I click back into ‘visual’ editor (after clicking ‘text’ editor) I can then see the content. I can edit in ‘text’ but not ‘visual’. x theme is fully updated. It is a child theme, but I only did that in the last week. Is this the issue?

WordPress 4.5.1 running X – Child Theme theme.

If I deactivate Cornerstone, Visual Composer works fine, but then I can’t use any of the elements… It is an issue. 🙁

Thanks for that. X are looking in to the issue. Hopefully it is nothing too technical. Desi
May 1, 2016 at 2:53 am #907587I’ll be keeping a close eye on this thread in hopes we can resolve this! It’s always funny discovering you have the same problem as someone else…. Makes you feel less crazy, right? Hehe
EDIT: For almost 12 hours it wasn’t working, and now it suddenly works for me. Cleared cache one more time just to check, and it’s now functioning ok.

After further investigation, there is a JS error in the page as soon as you edit your post or page. You can check it here:
http://prntscr.com/azbqpb. This may have been the cause of this issue. Please try to reinstall WordPress. You can also check this status by switching to other themes. This is maybe a server or WP files related issue.Thank you.
May 2, 2016 at 5:12 am #908815Hi,
My website is hosted by GoDaddy. it is a managed wordpress site. It is not possible to Reinstall WordPress.
GoDaddy have informed me there have been other helpdesk issues regarding WordPress 4.5 & JS errors.
You can check it here:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/wp-45-and-jquery-syntax-error
https://theme-fusion.com/knowledgebase/avada-3-9-3-fix-wordpress-4-5-compatibility/
Perhaps there is an issue with the X Theme? Maybe I am the first X Theme customer to try and update their website since WordPress 4.5 was rolled out?

May 2, 2016 at 7:13 am #908942Hey Desi,
Please try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
If that doesn’t help, please keep third party plugins, scripts and customizations disabled while we investigate.
Thanks.
