Step 2 – Search the forum first before posting a new topic. Most questions have already been asked, yes even yours. 🙂
Step 3 – If after searching you cannot find an answer to your question, then feel free to post a new topic. We do not provide support for 3rd party plugins or customization. Please be sure to include the following:
URL – http://www.EliNGoldman.com
– When I try to save something in the visual composer it won’t save, even after clicking the save button several times.
– Also, when I toggle between the Visual Composer and the Classic Mode / Backend Editor the buttons of the editor appear all over the screen.
Any suggestions?
September 6, 2014 at 3:08 am #99726Hi there,
This situation is typically related to the Visual Editor being disabled for your user profile. To remedy this, go to Users > Your Profile in the WordPress admin area and look for the Visual Editor setting, which should appear near the top of your profile. To the right of this setting is a checkbox labeled Disable the visual editor when writing. Make sure that the checkbox is unchecked. Visual Composer requires the Visual Editor to be active and without it you may have issues saving element settings.

Hope it helps.

Just tried that and it still doesn’t work, any suggestions?
When I exit it also saves the content within the txt text box as

October 28, 2014 at 5:05 pm #134040I’m having the same problem. Was there a resolution?
I’ve tried reverting back to an older theme. It immediately saved and published the images. After switching the theme back to X, I also contacted my hosting company (Hostgator) to ensure everything was working on their end. Nope. The problem seems to be with X. For some reason, it won’t save and publish.
October 29, 2014 at 12:15 am #134178Hi,
Can you confirm that you are fully updated? (Theme and Plugins)
You can find the latest version numbers here: (http://theme.co/x/member/changelog/) Then you can compare them to what’s installed on your site.
If you find anything to be out of date, you can review our update guide.
Thanks
October 29, 2014 at 10:25 am #134452FYI, I’m computer literate but am not tech-savvy.
I believe everything is updated. My WordPress dashboard lists no updates pending. When I clicked on “Updates” under the admin panel, it says the following:
“You have the latest version of WordPress.”
“Plugins
Your plugins are all up to date.”“Themes
Your themes are all up to date.”It might be helpful to note that I just purchased and installed X yesterday.
October 29, 2014 at 11:04 am #134477This is a terribly frustrating experience. A big part of the reason I purchased X in the first place was how user-friendly it claimed to be. What I’m finding, however, is that a person has to be incredibly knowledgeable to merely get X up and running. It feels like false advertising.

AnonymousI had the same problem too. Then I spotted a dropdown full width bar marked ‘Publish’, opened it, and there was the Update button I thought had disappeared. See if it works for you!
