    Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! The issue is you have updated WordPress but you are still using a very old version of X and X shortcodes. Please backup your site and update to the latest version of X. Then Deactivate and delete X shortcodes as it has been replaced by Cornerstone.

Depending on your site customizations there may be areas that may need to be updated to work in the new versions. This is because along the way WordPress made some changes and we needed to adapt to prepare for future updates.

If you could backup your site and deploy it into a dev environment it would be easier for you to reference the live site to fix any issues that may come up. Once all fixed on the new version you can then push those changes to the live site.

To update you can review this article:

    https://community.theme.co/kb/updating-your-theme-and-plugins/

To check the latest versions, please visit our Changelog

Then when you are ready to move your dev site to live site, you can use this guide to move your dev site to the live site making sure Cornerstone will work.

And lastly, we did make some changes on how sites are validated. It should work with your old API key but just in case it doesn’t, you can now use your license/purchase code directly to validate your site. In addition, you can now validate a dev site with the same license.

You can review this article for more info:

Let us know how that goes. Hope this helps – thanks!
