    We are running v. 4.6.4 X Theme with v. 4.6.1 WordPress to manage the website

    . We updated X Theme a couple of months ago and since have had problems with using Visual Composer to edit the home page we constructed with it. After the update loading text or button elements sent the system into an endless loading loop.

    Following advice found in other posts we deactivated plugins to try and narrow the problem. It turns out that deactivating the plugins “Contact Form 7” and “Contact Form 7 with MailChimp” appears to correct the difficulty. I have no idea how to change the code in the system to resolve this problem so that we could reactivate both versions of “Contact Form 7”.

    Any guidance would be truly appreciated.

    Thanks for writing in! It sounds like you might be having an issue with a third party plugin or script. Regretfully, we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts as our support policy in the sidebar states due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer.

    How about a problem with updating Visual Composer. That has until recently been an integral part of X Theme. When we attempt to update we get the following message:

    An error occurred while updating WPBakery Visual Composer: Download failed. A valid URL was not provided.

    Any idea what we should do about that?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing back. According to our Version Compatibility and Changelog latest compatible version of Visual Composer is v5.0. So the version just released is not yet available on automatic update from Themeco server. We’ll do some compatibility test before putting into the update server. So kindly wait for couple of days.

    It’s always recommended to use the compatible version to avoid any issue.
