Hello

I was asked to modify a website which was built with VC. However I can’t edit the page in the frontend editor nor the backend editor. It goes blank or stays endlessly spinning. I know VC is not included in the latest versions of the X-theme so apparently I can’t just update it to check if that solves the problem. Also updating the theme won’t fix it.

Is there any way I can make the editor work again?

Hi there,

You’re using old version of theme and plugins.
You need to follow this link https://community.theme.co/kb/updating-your-theme-and-plugins and update your theme manually via FTP. After updating theme, please follow this link https://community.theme.co/kb/product-validation and validate your product. Next update cornerstone and visual composer automatically.

Thanks for answering, I managed to fix Visual Composer.

I tried to update the theme earlier but it broke the site because the previous developer didn’t make the changes in the child theme. I updated everything anyway and replaced the edited files and it all looks good except for one thing. Would you mind helping me with this too?

It seems Firefox is not rendering Fontawesome properly, as you can see in the navigation bar. The “hamburger icon” is not being displayed. Could you tell me how I can fix that?

Your font files are not loading – http://prntscr.com/ehitwo

Either they are missing or you have incorrect permission that’s blocking them. Let’s check the files and make sure they exists and right permission is set.
