Hello! We have not updated or touched our site recently and today I noticed that the Visual Composer will not load. (screenshot: http://cl.ly/2d0a1x0C221q) I have looked at other topics on this issue and cannot seem to find a fix to the issue.
I did notice an alert from Themeco on the forum that says: “Regarding Visual Composer compatibility issues, version 4.11.2 is now available via automatic updates. You will need to be running X 4.4.2 for it to appear.” but it appears that you need to re-purchase the new version of the Visual Composer to upgrade.
Not sure if anyone has any useful tips, but we can’t seem to get around this loading issue and don’t necessarily want to pay to upgrade the Visual Composer extension.

Hi there,
There is no need to buy another license from them. Just validate your X theme and you should able to update it.
Please try updating your X theme, cornerstone, and visual composer. You should try updating your X theme first then re-validate it.
But please do get a backup of your whole site, your versions are too old which may break after the update. You can also setup a clone of your site as staging, and do the update there for testing. There is no other option since your WordPress is already updated to 4.5 which breaks older themes and plugin.
