I just updated to X version 4.1.1, Visual Composer 4.7.4, Cornerstone 1.0.6. Deleted X-Shortcodes. Now, my Visual Composer elements are not displaying on the front end of the website (gaps, promos, etc). They seem to be working fine from admin side. WordPress version 4.3.1. Site is tollestech.com.

Thanks for giving us your admin credentials.
You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
If this is not a plugin conflict, please try switching to X theme from the child theme and removing all custom codes. Remember to back up the site. This is so we can narrow down where the issue is coming from.
Hope this helps.
October 19, 2015 at 11:22 am #631249Found it. The plugin conflict is with Cornerstone. If I delete Cornerstone and activate X-Shortcodes, Visual Composer elements will display. Please advise.
October 19, 2015 at 12:01 pm #631309Hi Christy,
X-Shortcodes has been replaced by Cornerstone in the newer versions of X so you don’t really have to activate X-Shortcodes.
I have checked on the link you have provided and the promo elements are showing correctly in the frontend and backend editor. Can you confirm if you’re still having an issue with this?
October 19, 2015 at 12:22 pm #631337Yes, I’m still having the issue. This is a live site, so I couldn’t have it not displaying VC elements. Per my email above, I’ve deleted Cornerstone and re-activated X-Shortcodes temporarily until we figure out the problem.
I have a development site set up for testing. We can work there. (Credentials to be posted privately.)
Again, just to be clear. The issue is a plugin conflict between Cornerstone and Visual Composer that prevents VC elements from displaying on the front end.

Thanks for writing back and providing the details to the staging site.
Would it be possible to get FTP/SFTP to the staging site please? Also can you advise on which version of X and Visual Composer you upgraded from?
Thank you!

Please re-Install the Cornerstone , there is no known conflict between the latest Cornerstone and VC. Then deactivate and delete the x-shortcodes. Cornerstone is taking over for X – Shortcodes, which you can read much more about here in detail. Then clear your browser’s cache and any caching plugin that the site might have.
Thanks!
October 20, 2015 at 2:45 pm #633080I figured this out. It had to do with my custom theme folder name. From the beginning since installing X, I had renamed my theme folder to white label it. However, when I re-installed the theme with default theme name x, everything seems to be working ok now.
The new white label extension, does it allow you to customize the folder name so when you view source you can white label the theme name? That’s a common practice with devs.
October 20, 2015 at 4:04 pm #633176Hi Christy,
The White Label extension will only be able to customize certain elements such as Login Image and not the folder names.
