Hi,
Visual Composer doesn’t display in X theme when I select “View Page” but it does display when I activate my Avada theme. When I’m logged in with my Active X theme and visit a page on my site my only page editing option link is the standard “Edit Page” link, which takes me back into my admin panel. However, if I activate my Avada theme (used previously) and go to a page on my site I have the edit option “Edit with Visual Composer” available to me. Thanks for your help.

We use the API of VC plugin in our way, so this is currently not available in X theme for VC plugin. But I think it’s an important feature to add. So I’ll be forward this to our development queue for consideration as a feature request in next update.
Thanks for writing in, Cheers!
August 7, 2014 at 2:14 pm #79980So can I not use VC at all?
August 7, 2014 at 2:24 pm #79993Hi Michael,
Obviously, you can.
Please check that VC button is showing when you open a page via WordPress Admin:
Currently VC is set to show on Pages only, change the Content Types settings via Settings > Visual Composer
August 7, 2014 at 2:25 pm #79995I had hoped to import the “Renew Home 2” layout and then customize it. I can import per the “Demo Content” info into a page but it appears that I have no visual reference from which to customize. All I can see in the page editor is the code I imported regardless if I select the “Visual” or “Text” display tab. I am not a coder so VC was a HUGE selling point for me. Can you advise? Thanks.

August 7, 2014 at 2:46 pm #80019Hi Michael,
Thanks for the complement.
Let me tell the simple process.
1) Download the Visual Composer Renew Home 2 Demo content from here: http://theme.co/x/member/demo-content/
2) Unzip the file, find the html file, open it with a Text editor. e.g: Notepade
3) Copy all the Text from it, paste them into your site using VC classic mode
4) Now switch to Backend editor mode & find the elements ready as you want.
5) Now, download customizer settings from demo content page, unzip the file, find the json file.
6) Go to Tools page, now import the json file of customizer, you’re done.
Hope this helps, Cheers!
