mjlpearceParticipantI worked with Visual Composer via another theme before and I am pretty good at customizing it. But with the X I purchased, I just can’t get it to work. Here are some problems I have:
1. I don’t see the floating row and column sections.
2. When I do “Add Element” > “Text” > add a text > “Save”, nothing is saved!!!!
3. The Visual Composer icon on the top left just keeps spinning!I had to install the Visual Composer by uploading the plugin from the X package. I am not sure if this is normal.
I bought 2 licenses for 2 different websites and i am having the same problems for both websites.
I am getting very frustrated. Please help!

DarshanaModeratorHi there,
Thanks for writing in! Could you please try adding the following lines into your wp-config.php file in the root of your WordPress installation.
define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' ); define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );You can add the above code, before the following lines:
/* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!May 11, 2016 at 10:54 pm #987101
mjlpearceParticipantsorry I went onto the remote server and could not find the wp-config.php file in the root. How do I find it?

RupokMemberHi there,
You will find that in the root folder of your WordPress setup not server root. Also as you you have used Visual Composer before so it might be helpful for you to native Visual Composer. For this, just go to Visual Composer > X Integration from your dashboard and uncheck “Enable”.
Hope this helps.
Cheers!

mjlpearceParticipantI was able to find the wp-config.php file and made the change as instructed. Then I went to WP > Pages > find the page I want to edit > click on “edit with Visual composer > then the page with the VC logo opens, but all I see is the VC logo keeps spinning forever and never get the page opened.
I also tried it with WP > Pages > find the page I want to edit > view > open the page from the browser > then click on the “Edit with Visual Composer” button on the top > Then get the same page with VC logo spinning forever.
I don’t want to disable X Integration for VC if I can avoid it, because I like the X features integrated in VC. That’s one of the reasons attracted me using X.
If working correctly, do I get to see the Floating Row and Column sections on VC? It helps if I know what to expect.

JadeModeratorHi there,
Please try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
If the issue persists, would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password
– FTP credentialsDon’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for updating the thread! Can you confirm that you are fully updated? (Theme and Plugins) Most of the time outdated theme and plugins could create issues in your site.
Our latest versions are:
X Theme: 4.4.2
Cornerstone: 1.2.4
Visual Composer: 4.11.2You can find the latest version numbers here: (http://theme.co/changelog/) Then you can compare them to what’s installed on your site.
If you find anything to be out of date, you can review our update guide.

mjlpearceParticipantMy Theme is up-to-date but Cornerstone and VC were out of date. Just updated them and seemed that fix the problems I had. I will let you know if more issues come up. Thanks!
