Hi there,
Recently when I went to update my page through Visual Composer, my back end editor was blank, meaning the content and text I had put in was just filled with empty boxes. I can add new content through the back end editor but can’t modify the old content. Would love to get some feedback on this issue.

Your content is actually empty. That’s why you’re just seeing empty rows and columns.
Just as this :
[vc_row][vc_column width="1/1" css=".vc_custom_1409024366807{margin-top: 0px !important;background-color: #0a0a0a !important;border-color: #0a0a0a !important;}"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/4" css=".vc_custom_1409010171317{margin: -10px !important;border-width: 10px !important;padding: 0px !important;border-color: #0a0a0a !important;}"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/4"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/4"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/4"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/4"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/4"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/4"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/4"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/1"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/1"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/1"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/1"][/vc_column][/vc_row]
But, I got your copy from your revisions 24hours ago and restored it.
Your content is not well formatted for visual composer, which will prevent you from using visual composer. Correct your content format and you should able to use it again ( http://theme.co/x/member/forums/topic/one-page-nav-is-not-working/#post-107692 ).
Cheers!
September 25, 2014 at 11:01 pm #112859Thank you for restoring the page. However, the page is more screwed up than before because now I get this message on the Visual Plugin Backend editor:
I’m unclear what you mean by “content is not well formatted”. I uploaded the Visual Composer based demo content, and the backend editor was working before. If there’s a way to restore the backend editor, I would prefer to do that, even if it means re-doing the page.
Thanks again,
RaleighSeptember 26, 2014 at 5:57 am #113007Hi Raleigh,
You’re getting the above error notice because you’ve switched between the classic & visual mode. I mean to say, you styled the elements in visual mode but saved the page/post in classic mode.
So now to ignore this error, you need to copy the content & create a new page with same name & slug.
