    Hi there,
    I use Visual COmposer on a few sites (don’t use it amymore as I love Cornerstone), but I have been trying to auto update VC for a while now and it won’t work so I contacted them and here is what they are saying:
    Hi Marijo,

    There is a Visual Composer related code present in your theme added by the theme author. You will have to get rid of it. I would advise you to do so with the help of theme author, otherwise you might loose the extra elements added by him. Once this is done, you can install the standalone plugin and it will work fine. Kindly check.

    Hello There,

    Thanks for writing in! When you are using X, the updates of the bundled plugins such as Visual Composer will be served through our plugin server. You have to make sure that X is validated so that you can easily do the automatic updates right in your dashboard. The latest compatible version of VC and also the available version in our plugin server can be check here: https://community.theme.co/kb/version-compatibility/
