Wordpress 4.5 demands version Visual Composer 4.11.2 or greater to be installed, but from what I can tell latest version of Theme X is limited to version 4.1.3 (my site shows that my theme x is at the latest version).
many people seem to be reporting compatibility issues with WordPress 4.5 and VC, and the official message from WP is to upgrade VC: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/read-this-first-wordpress-45-master-list?replies=7&view=all#post-8268201
My site is completely down for editing any content due to this bug. How can I force an upgrade to a version of a plugin that is managed by X, and/or when will you get it updated??

Thanks for writing in! Can you confirm that you are fully updated? (Theme and Plugins)
Our latest versions are:
X Theme: 4.4.2
Cornerstone: 1.2.4
Visual Composer: 4.11.2Please be advised that X Shortcodes has already been deprecated. You need to deactivate and delete X Shortcode plugin. Take note that X shortcodes and its functionality has been consolidated into Cornerstone which you can install by going to X Addons > Extensions. To know more about Cornerstone, please check it out here: http://theme.co/blog/x-version-4-introducing-cornerstone/
You can find the latest version numbers here: (http://theme.co/changelog/) Then you can compare them to what’s installed on your site.
