Hi
A weird issue here. I’ve embedded some vimeo videos in cornerstone (with Vimeo settings: loop, autoplay) and they are looping and autoplaying when I’m in Cornerstone editing mode but not when I leave Cornerstone.
Is this a common issue? Am I doing something wrong? Will send you details in separate email.
Cheers
Els

If you are referring to the video inside the laptop on your homepage it is looping find on my end.
On what device and browser you are experiencing the issue?
Would you mind try cleaning your browser cache and checking it again?
Let us know if you still need help with the issue.
Thanks
Joao
June 3, 2016 at 9:28 am #1024261Hi Els,
You can try adding it in a raw content element instead embedded video element.

June 3, 2016 at 8:33 pm #1025039Hi guys, I’m using chrome.
Ok, Paul will try.
June 3, 2016 at 8:39 pm #1025043Ok. Issue still not resolved.
1) Have used raw content. Now black borders appear which we don’t want. Still not autoplaying and looping.
2) Have cleared cache: nothing changes. Joao, did you login and did it work on your end? That would really surprise me.
3) Checked on Safari and Chrome: both browsers do not autoplay and loop. Again, in the cornerstone editing mode view all is fine. Have you guys experienced this before?June 4, 2016 at 4:02 am #1025429This reply has been marked as private.June 4, 2016 at 8:27 pm #1026151Hi Rue Nel
I appreciate the efforts you’ve done. But it doesn’t work on the home page. That’s the issue here.
Can you confirm if it works on the home page on your end? What do I have to do to make it work on the homepage?
Thanks for the update.
Cheers

June 5, 2016 at 7:44 am #1026562Hey Els,
Your home page videos doesn’t work because your Vimeo video code aren’t set to autoplay. Also, you’re using Raw Content element (see attachment 1) which isn’t the best one to use for embedded videos (not related to autoplay). Please use the Embedded Video element (see attachment 2) to display the video and make it responsive out of the box. To autoplay Vimeo videos, please see https://developer.vimeo.com/player/embedding. Autoplay setting for embedded videos is not a feature of Cornerstone nor X. It must be set using the video host’s parameters. To see an example, please see the page Rue Nel created http://www.digitalpractice.com.au/index.php/an-x-test/?cornerstone=1. The video autoplays in there.
Hope that helps. 🙂
June 7, 2016 at 4:33 am #1029602Hi Christian
I appreciate your feedback. However it is contradictory to the support I had received earlier from your colleague Paul R (see above).
I replaced the embed video element by raw content based on his feedback.
I might be wrong, or overseeing something, but in my opinion the autoplay code within this Vimeo is ON. See below.
<iframe src=”https://player.vimeo.com/video/169211610?autoplay=1&loop=1&color=ffffff&title=0&byline=0&portrait=0″ width=”640″ height=”360″ frameborder=”0″ webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe>
I appreciate all the staff of ThemeCO looking into this and trying to help to fix this.

June 7, 2016 at 8:30 am #1029873Hi there,
Upon checking test page (http://www.digitalpractice.com.au/index.php/an-x-test/) video was working fine. We usually add HTML an shortcodes in raw content element but maybe embedded video doesn’t render correctly in raw content element. So please use ’embedded video’ element.
Thanks.
June 11, 2016 at 1:13 am #1036981Hi Christopher
I’ve replaced the raw content by embed video file. Still no autoplay and looping.
I do realise your own example works http://www.digitalpractice.com.au/index.php/an-x-test/ but mine doesn’t. Can you confirm that the videos are playing on the homepage at your end (In cornerstone autoplay works but not on the actual page)? I have checked on several computers and it doesn’t work on mine. I’m using safari and chrome on iMacs.
Thanks.

June 11, 2016 at 4:05 am #1037096Hello Els,
I am another staff checking this thread! In the test page, the video is in auto play and looping. In your homepage on the other hand, it would take a while before the video autoplay. Once it is playing, it also loops itself. As long as the video has been loaded as in no buffering or just finished buffering, it should autoplay itself. Unless there is a disruption of the loading of the video, it will not autoplay.
I’ve done more search regarding multiple vimeo videos and I found something here:
“That’s unfortunately not possible. To have multiple videos autostarting on the same page would be a disaster for the end user in most cases, so our player does not allow that.”
– https://vimeo.com/forums/help/topic:114568Hope this explains the issue.
June 11, 2016 at 9:02 pm #1037807Hi Rue Nel
That must explain it… Thanks so much!
